What Is Ijosin?
Ijosin is the use of prepared words, songs, rituals, gestures, and prayers that compose the pieces of a structured form of worship. The term ijosin means “worship gathering” in the Yoruba language. It’s a wonderful and ancient way that your community can participate in Òrìsà devotion. If you’re new to ijosin it might be somewhat confusing or foreign at first. But if you stick with it, you’ll discover its power to enrich and shape your personal prayer life and support your spiritual development. There are three aspects of devotional experience:
